An apprenticeship as a bricklayer in Germany and a series of study and drawing excursions to Italy formed the basis. If one wants to classify Arne Jacobsen, one can see him in the field of modern functionalism. His designs are influenced by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and the Bauhaus. His most famous works include, for example, the "Ant" and "Swan" chairs and the AJ pendant lamps designed for Louis Poulsen, the Bellevue Theatre and also Denmark's National Bank.Material and format
