AJ ashtray by Stelton. Ashtrays are well-known, most of them are rather flat journeymen. The AJ tilting ashtray designed by Arne Jacobsen - part of the Cylinda Line collection - fortunately is different.
With inner life
The top piece gives the Stelton ashtray the necessary amount of grandeur and design. At the same time it serves as a storage place for cigarette stubs and ashes. The upper part can be turned at the handle and the ash disappears inside the cylinder. So not only the eye, but also the nose provides, as it is spared from excessive odor nuisance.

In the press release of the Danish design label Stelton is says "A simple drawing on a napkin during a family celebration. That was the starting point for one of Arne Jacobsen's most famous designs.
