In 1962, the model 281 was created, which Joe Colombo designed together with his brother Gianni. Because of the significant curve made of acrylic, it received the name "Acrilica". The thickness and curvature of the methacrylate cause the light to move impressively through the transparent body and illuminate the head in a fascinating way. Because of this "magical movement", the award-winning 281 moves somewhere between a kinetic work of art and a luminaire.

The limited edition with precious Portoro marble is only available in limited quantities and takes Colombo's design to the next level with this exciting combination of materials.

Oluce - An icon among Italian luminaire manufacturers 

Oluce is the oldest design lighting label still in existence in Italy - a fact of which it can be justifiably proud. The Milanese company was already founded in 1945 and still produces noble, high-quality luminaires today. Many of them have risen to become icons that have remained trendy for generations.
