About A Stool Collection
Simple elegance - the stools from the About A Stool Collection by Hay follow simple and sleek lines so that they can be easily combined with other furnishings. They complement a wide variety of styles perfectly and are therefore also ideal for use in the contract sector. Designer Hee Welling conceived the series with the aim of making the chairs suitable for use in restaurants, canteens, in the office or at the dining table at home. Their simple appearance makes them particularly multifunctional and combinable.
Designer Hee Welling
The Danish designer Hee Welling attended the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and completed his Master's degree in furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. he founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003 and has been designing furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial designs ever since. Welling has received various awards, including the BoBedre Design Award (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). His designs have been used in international institutions such as the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament and the Amazon headquarters.
As the son of a carpenter, he has a great fascination for production techniques and materials. It is therefore not surprising that his credo is to develop technically sophisticated products that are nevertheless accessible to the masses.
Hay - contemporary furniture from Denmark
Founded in 2002, the Danish manufacturer Hay pursues the goal of creating furniture that fulfils the needs of modern life and is accessible to the widest possible audience.
Material and format
The AAS32 consists of a polypropylene seat shell on an oak frame. It is 50 cm wide, 75 cm high and 43 cm deep.
