The About A Chair chair by Hay is probably the most famous creation by designer Hee Welling. With its minimalist, Scandinavian design and the striking material combination of wood and plastic, it has set standards. The international bestseller is at home in both private and public spaces. The AAC 222 model also combines aesthetics and seating comfort: it features a curved shell with a slightly higher back and a slightly deeper, more generous seat.

Designer Hee Welling 

The Danish designer Hee Welling attended the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and graduated with a Master's degree in furniture design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Since 2003, he has dedicated himself to creating furniture, lighting and industrial designs in his studio in Copenhagen. He has received various awards, including the BoBedre Design Award (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). His designs are used in international institutions such as the Oslo Opera House and the Australian Parliament.

Material and format 

The design chair with armrests consists of a frame made of inner plywood in beech and soaped oak veneer and a seat shell made of injection-moulded polypropylene. 

It is 59 cm wide, 54 cm deep, 82 cm high and has a seat height of 46.5 cm.
