The Abalon is a classic of modern design. With the Abalon Platform, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec designed a round stool that not only serves as a flexible seat, but also as an elegant footrest. The carefully proportioned, strongly splayed legs of the base frame not only give it impressive stability, but also set clear accents as a characteristic feature of the Abalon family.
Material and format
The seat of the Abalon stool consists of a plywood panel upholstered with high-quality moulded polyurethane foam and polyester fleece. The knitted fabric cover is not only a visual highlight, but is also removable to make cleaning and care easier.
The four-star base is made of die-cast aluminium and is powder-coated. The steel column, which is also powder-coated, gives the stool additional stability. The plastic glides are ideal for soft floors, while the felt glides are a gentle alternative for hard floors.
