Four wins: 4/4 coffee table/modular bookcase from B-Line
4/4 from B-Line is a real jack-of-all-trades. The four equally sized individual parts can be placed next to each other or on top of each other. This makes 4/4 extremely versatile, making it a coffee table and bookshelf in one.
Material and format
Four individual parts make up 4/4, the versatile and practical table made of injection-moulded ABS. Thanks to the inserts, also made of ABS, the sections can be arranged on top of each other to form a modular bookcase. If you place the elements next to each other, you have a side table in no time at all, either in a round or curved shape.
As a side table, 4/4 has a width of 100 cm and a depth of 100 cm. The height is 30 cm. The B-Line design table weighs 12.10 kilograms.
The design
Rodolfo Bonetto (1929-1991) was an Italian designer. He did not learn the craft of design, Bonetto acquired his knowledge as an autodidact. However, this did not detract from his abilities. He was honoured with the Compasso d'Oro six times and also worked as a lecturer at a university for several years. Bonetto designed almost everything he could get his hands on: from car interior panelling to alarm clocks.
