The Vitra children's stool "Eames Elephant" has been created by Charles and Ray Eames; it presents itself in cheerful colours and features a design of a high standard that ensures excellent safety according to the applicable GS and CE safety norms.
The Elephant
There is hardly an animal that surpasses the elephant in popularity. Admired for its majestic size and loved for its proverbial good nature, the elephant has become a part of our everyday life - as cuddly toy, as fairy tale character and as heraldic animal alike.
Development
Charles and Ray Eames, too, have succumbed to the charm o f these pachyderms and have thus, in 1945, constructed a toy elephant of plywood, which - however - has never made it into commercial production. Now, the Eames elephant, in a version of synthetic material, has for the first time become available to the clientele for which it was originally conceived - children.
Suited for use indoors and outdoors
Whether used as a toy (also outdoors) or as a furnishing object for the children's room, this endearing animal, with its friendly gaze and its conspicuous, over-sized ears, will enchant both children and adults.
