Alexander Girard is known as a formative figure in post-war American design. The American was born in 1907. Girard originally studied architecture, but over the course of his career he worked as a furniture, graphic, exhibition and interior designer. Textile design was a focal point of his work. Abstract, geometric shapes and a variety of colour constellations are examples of his work.
Material and format
The mug is made of robust porcelain and is produced in a traditional porcelain manufactory. It is dishwasher- and microwave-safe and food-safe. It has a capacity of 300 ml. It is 9.5 cm high and has a diameter of 8 cm.
