Timeless elegance: B 20 coffee table by Thonet

Inspired by the classic tubular steel furniture of the Bauhaus era of the 1920s and 1930s, the B 20 coffee table features straight lines and harmonious proportions. This beautiful, purist design piece blends harmoniously into any environment, not least thanks to the numerous available finishes.

Thonet - more than 200 years of tradition.

The manufacturer, based in Frankenberg, stands for durability and an irrepressible drive for innovation. Thonet was the first manufacturer to bring bentwood furniture onto the market and to market tubular steel furniture. Michael Thonet founded his own workshop in Boppard am Rhein in 1819. In the 1830s, he experimented with strips of veneer boiled in glue and is therefore considered the inventor of "bentwood furniture". In 1842, he was invited to Vienna by the Austrian state chancellor Prince Metternich, and the coffee house culture that prevailed there laid the foundation for Thonet's later success. With such a desire for innovation, it is not surprising that Thonet also cultivated links with the Bauhaus and Marcel Breuer. Thonet implemented Breuer's experiments with cold-bent steel tubes and produced the famous cantilever chairs.

Material and format

The B 20 coffee table is 120 cm wide, 80 cm deep and 36 cm high. The frame is made of 20 x 2 mm chromed round steel tubing. For the tabletop, you can choose between a lacquered or stained surface and from many different colours.
