AP220 Coat Rack Vienna GTV Design

With the AP2204LGN coat stand, Wiener GTV Design has given new life to a Thonet classic of furniture design.

Reedition

The manufacturer Wiener GTV Design, also known as Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, is the Viennese branch of the Thonet family. In possession of the licences to produce designs by the Thonet brothers, Wiener GTV Design has now also reissued the iconic AP220 coat stand.

Bentwood design

AP220 is an all-round successful design composition. Using round wood bent by means of steam - a new and very popular manufacturing method at the beginning of the 20th century - the gentle curves of the frame are created.

In this case, the rounded solid wood struts are not only a design feature but also a functional carrier: in the upper area, jackets and coats can be hung over the hooks thus created. In the foot area there is an intelligent umbrella stand solution - the AP220 coat stand by the Thonet brothers is therefore not only a design highlight with a history, but also a particularly practical wardrobe solution.

Version

Here you can order the AP220 coat stand by Wiener GTV Design in the black stained version. Black stained means that the natural beech wood structure shines through, which is not easily visible in the pictures.
