About A Lounge Collection
Pure minimalism - the About A Lounge Collection from Hay follows simple and sleek lines so that it can be easily combined with other furnishings. The designer furniture complements a wide variety of styles perfectly and can therefore also be used perfectly in the contract sector. Designer Hee Welling conceived the series with the aim of making the armchairs suitable for use in cafés, in the office or at home . Their simple appearance makes them particularly multifunctional and combinable.
Designer Hee Welling
Danish designer Hee Welling attended the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree in furniture design. in 2003, he founded his own studio in Copenhagen and has since designed furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial designs. Welling has received various awards, including the BoBedre Design Award (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). His designs have been used in international institutions such as the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament and the Amazon headquarters.
As the son of a carpenter, he has a great fascination for production techniques and materials. It is therefore not surprising that his credo is to develop technically sophisticated products, which are nevertheless accessible to the masses.
Material and format
The AAL stool consists of a wooden base (available in lacquered oak, black lacquered oak and soaped oak) and a upholstered seat in different versions. It is 66 cm wide, 50 cm deep and 37 cm high.
