Known worldwide today as a symbol of Bauhaus, the KAISER idell™ lights were introduced to the public in 1931. The lamps are known for their versatile and minimalist designs, which are still absolutely modern today.
Designer Christian Dell
Christian Dell was born in Offenbach am Main. He completed an apprenticeship as a silversmith in Hanau from 1907 to 1911 and also attended the drawing academy there. From 1922 to 1925, he worked as a foreman in the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar. in 1926 he then took over as head of the metal workshop at the Frankfurt art school. His design style is considered extremely innovative for the time and was trend-setting for the development of design.
